We had been contemplating getting a second server for PurgeHosting for a while now. We finally did it and it’s awesome. We completely integrated the DNS and NameServers across both servers. Which means we can migrate accounts back and forth with no downtime. It also means our name servers work for both servers. And all new free accounts are pushed to the new server.

So, what does this mean?
Basically, we’ve done some load balancing and both servers can now equally handle the load for the thousands of websites we’re hosting. While we have fast servers which are perfectly qualified for the job, it’s always nice to know that we’re up for expanding our services to better enhance our quality of service.

The new server was setup about a month ago, and is now up running and fully functional.
