PurgeHosting Mail Server fixed

There have been a few people in the past week or so complaining about problems with email when using an email client. After an investigation we realized that various ports where not added to all aspects of our firewall. Which in turn meant we were actually blocking some email clients who needed those ports to send email through our servers. And when you think about the fact that thousands of emails per day go though our network, then you realize how this might be a concern.

However, we’ve since corrected the issue. Email will no longer be sluggish or fail to send. Which is great, and good news; we’ll be checking this daily. Any issues will be reported to us and we’ll have them fixed before you even notice. But don’t worry, we’re next expecting any such problems.

    The outgoing server is sometimes different from your incoming server as when, for example, mail account, such as Yahoo.
